Effective September 3, 2026
Squad is a social fitness app operated by Alex Breeze (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information Squad collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email alex@alex-breeze.com.
When you upload a photo, we re-encode it and strip embedded metadata, including any EXIF GPS location, before it is stored. We do not collect precise location data from your device.
The workouts, photos, and comments you post are visible to members of the squads you share them with. Your profile — your medals and streak — is visible to signed-in Squad users. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
We share information only with the providers that help us run Squad: Google (for sign-in), our email provider (for account emails), and our cloud hosting and object-storage providers (for running the service and storing your content). These providers process your data on our behalf, and your data is stored in the United States.
Squad uses a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in
(HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax) and a small cookie to
remember your light/dark theme. We do not use third-party tracking or
advertising cookies.
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing alex@alex-breeze.com; deleting your account removes your profile, workouts, photos, and squad memberships. We also periodically purge orphaned files and throwaway test accounts.
Passwords are hashed with a strong algorithm (Argon2) and never stored in plain text. Traffic is encrypted in transit with HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
You can access and update your profile in the app, and you can ask us to provide a copy of, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing alex@alex-breeze.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA; we will honor those rights as required by applicable law.
Squad is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Squad is operated from and hosted in the United States. If you use Squad from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective” date above. Significant changes will be communicated in the app or by email where appropriate.
